About Us

Economic Dispatch

noun
The operation of generation facilities to produce energy at the lowest cost to reliably serve consumers, recognizing any operational limits of generation and transmission facilities.
42 USC § 16524(b)

Welcome to The Economic Dispatch, a newsletter on how our energy system affects society, and how society affects our energy system.

Decarbonizing the world’s energy supply is fundamentally a technical problem, but people create reasons for it not to be. We hope this publication can shed light on the relationship between energy and society to demystify the climate problem and advocate for effective solutions.

Who We Are

We’re a trio of young zoomer professionals working in the energy industry looking to share our takes on current happenings in the world of climate (with a healthy dose of memes and levity).
